Individual therapy

I offer an integrative and individualised approach to therapy using aspects of cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focussed therapy (CFT) and solution focussed therapy (SFT). Difficulties that I can help with include: social anxiety, general anxiety, depression/low mood, stress, OCD, health anxiety, psychological difficulties relating to physical health difficulties, low self-esteem, interpersonal and relationship difficulties.

Neuropsychological assessment

I am able to provide thorough and detailed neuropsychological assessments for the purposes of diagnosing dementia, having worked in a diagnostic Memory Service and mental health services for people with dementia and their families.

Memory Capacity Act assessments

I am able to carry out Mental Capacity Act assessments for working-age adults and older adults including the use and interpretation of neuropsychological assessments.

I have considerable experience in providing and delivering bespoke training packages to care homes and inpatient ward staff around meeting the needs of people with dementia, with the aims of reducing behaviour that challenges, reducing the need for anti-psychotic medication and hospitalisation. These training packages improve the confidence of staff and improve the quality of life of the residents and patients.

I see people at the Wishing Well in Bromsgrove (opposite Waitrose) at 16 St John Street, B61 8QY. The nearest Pay & Display car park is at Waitrose supermarket. There is also parking at ASDA supermarket (requires payment), which is just a 5 minute walk or there is plenty of parking within Bromsgrove town centre. Free parking is available in the nearby Sanders Park during daylight hours – this car park closes at dusk.

Session content is strictly confidential and off the record. The fact that you have sought help from a psychologist will not appear on your medical records, unless you are sent by your employer via their Occupational Health service, by your GP or a private health scheme.

Psychological therapy and assessment sessions typically last 50 minutes. Fees are £90 or £100 (through private health insurance).
